Reports to: Director of Individual Giving and Development Operations and the President and Chief Executive Officer
Position Overview: The Director of Institutional and Corporate Funding serves as a key leadership role within the Edmundite Missions' advancement team, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and other institutional donors. This position will play a vital role in advancing the Missions' work by building meaningful relationships with funding partners who share our commitment to serving those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
**Strategic Leadership & Planning**
§ Develop and execute a comprehensive institutional giving strategy aligned with the Missions' strategic priorities
§ Establish annual and long-term fundraising goals for institutional and corporate funding
§ Collaborate with leadership to identify funding priorities and create compelling cases for support
§ Monitor trends in corporate and foundation giving to identify new funding opportunities
**Relationship Management**
§ Build and strengthen relationships with foundation officers, corporate giving directors, and other institutional funders
§ Serve as primary liaison between the Missions and institutional funding partners
§ Engage with mission-aligned corporations to develop mutually beneficial partnerships
§ Represent the Missions at relevant networking events and conferences
**Grant Development & Management**
§ Oversee the full grant cycle including prospect research, proposal development, submission, and reporting
§ Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals and reports
§ Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines
§ Maintain accurate records of all institutional funding activities
**Revenue Growth & Diversification**
§ Identify and pursue new institutional funding sources to diversify revenue streams
§ Develop innovative corporate partnership models beyond traditional philanthropy
§ Create opportunities for increased giving from existing institutional donors
§ Collaborate with planned giving and major gifts teams to maximize institutional relationships
**Team Leadership**
§ Contributes to a culture of collaboration, excellence, and mission focus
§ Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the advancement department
Qualifications:
**Education & Experience**
§ Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
§ Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in institutional fundraising, preferably in faith-based or social service organizations
§ Demonstrated success in securing six and seven-figure grants from foundations and corporations
§ Experience with mission advancement models that emphasize relationship building
**Skills & Competencies**

§ Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
§ Excellent project management and organizational skills
§ Proficiency with fundraising databases and research tools

**COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:**

This is a remote position.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
